Executed Processes option does not kill properly

Post by RickyXL »

Hi, I'm very happy with your 'Executed Processes' feature but it needs some work.
I have a small launcher that updates and launches other file, which is the main application. I don't have the source code of the main application and it is very difficult to reserve engineering and write the source code.

I want that main application to check if launcher is running(yes I need it to keep running). So I protected my file using the 'Executed Processes' option. This way if the launcher process is killed the main application(the protected one) will be killed too.

And so it does BUT only after I press the 'Ok' button in 'message before termination' box! I understand it is probably attached to the protected process so it needs to be running in order to show the message but I really need to kill the process before showing that box!

What can I do?

Thank you

Hi RickyXL, what in case you just disable showing a message if the process is found/not found?

It is option on Executed Processes panel, named Show Message Before Termination. If you disable it, protected process will be killed without any notification messages.

Another way, if you want to show the message anyway, you may edit the message inside Enigma Protector, in the designer, and in advanced options enable the feature "Automatically Close window...". In this case, the program will be anyway terminated, if user click on OK button or no.
